3 season room
There were a number of challenges I was prepared for when I started this build, but I didn’t apprecaiate the complexity of adding all new windows to this room until Ricky from Renewal by Andersen of Eastern NY came out and talked through it with me. Fortunately for me, that is where my complications started and ended; RbA literally handled everything from start to finish. They not only removed all the old windows, but they take them for you as well, so I saved on additional dumpster costs as well.
These guys painstakingly triple and quadruple checked their measurements to ensure all the frames would line up symmetrically. And its also worth noting that nothing in this room is plumb or square so these guys really had their work cut out for them, and they executed it perfectly.
Beyond the windows, I painted all the beams in Baby Seal Black, semi-gloss and added a wood burning stove. Between the R-value I am going to get out of the new windows and this little cast iron power house, this 3 season room has truly become a 4 season room…and I loved it so much I decided to put my outdoor office out here as well.
